The chal­lenge concerns how to further develop the network, further enhance the flow of knowl­edge and the inno­v­a­tive power of each company and their employees, thereby strength­ening the services provided to customers. This means that the compa­nies must be curious and open, and play together well.

PROCESS

Some impor­tant network driving factors were iden­ti­fied that are crucial for main­taining the a envi­ron­ment. The inter­ac­tion is depen­dent on 8 — 10 people, and a number of strategic initia­tives were created to create more and stronger rela­tion­ships between loca­tions, compa­nies and indi­vid­uals. It became clear that there is a need for a solu­tion that makes it easier to find rele­vant exper­tise. Such services are already under devel­op­ment.

The picture shows the inter­ac­tion between three loca­tions and when we rotated the network, we saw that it became an ‘unicorn’ which is a good image for us who want to create new oppor­tu­ni­ties.

CHALLENGES AND MAIN FINDINGS
  • The network analysis showed great moti­va­tion and foun­da­tion to the values in Explorer HQ.
  • Contin­uous need for enhanced commu­ni­ca­tion and prac­tical inter­ac­tion across.
  • Increase the number of knowl­edge brokers in the network.
  • Estab­lish a selec­tion of expert profes­sionals and create a good ‘onboard­ings’ program for new busi­nesses and indi­vid­uals.
  • Estab­lish joint projects with inter­dis­ci­pli­nary exper­tise and geograph­i­cally dispersed repre­sen­ta­tion.
  • Measure the devel­op­ment of inter­ac­tion and the network’s density and inter­ac­tion.
RESULT
  • Imple­mented joint projects.
  • Updating the brands posi­tioning, Internal commu­ni­ca­tions and marketing.
  • Increased degree of “value” over land borders.
  • More open culture.
